Spring Awakening

Ready for another thrilling lifestyle post? It's Spring Weekend at Mount Holyoke. Dear Friend Lee (and a few others) joined me on a quest to avoid coursework as much as possible, jump on a bouncy castle, sun ourselves excessively and eat everything delicious. I love New England in the spring. I love spring! Chicago doesn't really have spring, just extra mud to pick up where the snow left off. Spring is a luxury for a wandering Midwesterner.
My outfit was really cute. The weather was beautiful. My friends are darling, impressive and smart. These are the little things that make a life.

Lee is such a cute person oh my god.
I love the disparity of gracefulness apparent between these two pictures.
Lest you thought us serious people.

Again and Again

I love this outfit because I've worn it (or something like it) so many times before. It love seeing myself change while a skirt stays the same.

Alternately, I've just stayed the same dork in red lipstick who can't commit to a hairstyle. That's fine, too.

Shirt, Shorts-made-skirt, Bag: Thrifted @ Goodwill
Mocs: Minnetonka via that weird leather shop
Earrings: A gift! A gift bought by my mother from a church rummage sale.

Whale of a Time

This is one of those sloppy outfits that just sort of ended up pleasing me. I went to NoHo with friends and other friend to get drugstore goods and watch one of them get holes poked in her face. Not the most exciting day, sure, but it feels good to get off campus. My teal leggings, whale shirt and very very very silly sunglasses somehow matched this cloudy, odd spring day.
Approximately 300 million people asked me about this lipstick today. It's Milani. The color is called Sangria. Kind of my current favorite, to be honest.

Shirt and Earrings: Thrifted @ Savers
Leggings: Simply Be
Jacket: Vintage via my mother
Boots: Docs
Sunnies: A very mysterious and wonderful gift

She Knows She's Looking Fine

Spring has sprung! Perhaps for real this time. It's all of 58 degrees today, so of course I celebrated with bare legs, gelly shoes and plenty of sunshine.
I'm actually quite dreadfully ill. This cold is just terrible. I can't seem to stay healthy this year! I'd really better stay the hell in bed and try to get over this, but in my experience lipstick and enough foundation to hide the evidence of my illness have healing powers. Now I need only overcome the temptation to knock myself out with NyQuil and I'll finish my proposal. Perhaps the sun coming through my window will hasten that process along.
This sweater is kind of the only thing I wear lately. My mother bought it for me because my mother is awesome.

Bodysuit: Forever 21
Skirt: Asos Curve
Sweater: Dorothy Perkins (thanks mom!)

Daisy Daisy

Today I finally broke out my photo-realistic daisy print dress from Forever 21. It's adorable, dammit. But I've never been good at allover tight dresses, so I ordered it all the way in a 2X in the hope that it wouldn't be so tight and prone to riding up to my hips.
Didn't work. I mean, it's not terribly tight, but I've been tugging the thing down all day. Ah well.
